Wheelchairs for Jones Beach

I am starting this petition because recently my husband, 2 sons and disabled step- daughter went for a day out at the beach. We went to one field and asked for the wheelchair that pushes on the sand. We were told that someone took it and didnt bring it back. It was 91 degrees, the beach was full and we knew that chair wasnt coming back soon. We proceeded to another field which did have a chair and we were told to bring it back by closing. When we came back, we were told that another handicapped person was waiting for the chair! I felt so bad. For one, we were misinformed that we had to bring it right back and secondly, someone else missed out on the beautiful day. It is just crazy to have 1 chair per field!! This petition is to therefore get more wheelchairs at each field at Jones Beach so all the disabled are assured that they can get down to the beach. We are frequent beachgoers and could miss out next time along with other disabled people wanting to get down to the beach. Thank you for taking the time.
