"Wildlife Education"

While walking to the jeep waiting place for me to go home (paradahan), I noticed something strange. People were huddled together viewing and taking pictures of something. I came closer and sawa monkey and 2 snakes. The monkey was in a small cage, no leaves, no fruits, just a chain and a small cage that was not meant for him by nature. The 2 snakes were in a glass aquarium, of course, with no water. There was not enough space. The two snaes were overlapping with each other and their long bodies were curved here and there inside the aquarium. These small spaces are never meant for animals that are made to roam free. Its clearly wrong.

There were children, adults and people of all ages in that gathering. All watching these poor animals. But what I did not understand was that they never actually see what was going on. These animals are being abused. Children younger than my age are seeing this. Witnessing it. And the people who did this to these innocent animals were adults. adults who are supposed to be examples for the youth. If you ask me, wow they're doing a horrible job of being "examples."

In the eyes of a child, whatever adults do, is correct. When in truth, these things, are wrong. I took a few pictures of these animals. The monkey was breking down. it is sociable and yet it is deprived of its natural ability. To be in a family. Like you and me. Please, I beg of you. please sign this petition and save these three animals. It will be sent to DENR.

And before I end this narrating, this was what was written in yellow hard papers in front of the three animals cages:

"This is our humble and little way to promote Baguio tourism and wild life education. For short viewing only so not to cause heavy human traffic. Iwasang makahadlang sa tao.
                                                                      Salamat po"

They have some nerve calling the keeping of three innocent animals in small cages as "wildlife education." Whoever wrote these are clearly, as I like to call them, twits.

And get this, they even wrote in the snakes' aquarium:

"please do not tease the animals. Let us be humane in treating them. (Magpakatao po tayo.)"

Wow, they want people not to tease the animals when they themselves are causing great harm to the animals. Such twits indeed. my heart was boiling to trash that AVON shop right htere and then. The "ladies' there, I think they're in charge of the animals, don't even care. The monkey was clearly hungry and underweight. The snakes, who knows what they feed them.

PLEASE, sign petition and help these animals. I need them quickly to head to DENR and tell them of these animals' sufferings. My dad's coming with me, but i will be the witness. I am not going to just stand back anymore and do nothing just becaus the law sees me as a minor. I may be small, but my goals are large. VERY large.

Please help me save these animals from suffering even more.

Thanks for taking your time.
DENR,

We, the undersigned, hereby present ourselves as witnesses and partners to stop the abuse of animals here in Baguio, Philippines and other parts of the globe. There have been 2 snakes and a monkey treated very badly; they were in cages where they can barely move, no water on a hot day, and no foo seen. The tight  and dirty surroundings do not substitute their natural habitats. They must be returned to the wild or given up to a wildlife sanctuary. These animals deserve more.

The signs mentioned that the animal display was for tourism, then sir/madam, is abusing animals a tourist getter? The Philippines is a beautiful country, don't let this injustice to innocent animals ruin our country's beauty. "Every living thing has an equal right to existence."

Thank you for reading and understanding the situation of this problem. We, all of us, expect and await actions resolving this matter.

Again, thank you.
