The beautiful Cerrado in Brazil is one of the world's great ecosystems - holding 5% of life on Earth. But right now it's disappearing fast due in large part to rapidly increasing soya production for animal feed.

Simple choices from UK supermarkets can help stop this.

Ask your supermarket to make a difference

Dear Sir,

As one of your customers, I'm aware that the soya I eat, both directly and through the meat, milk or eggs I consume, might be destroying the environment.

Incredible ecosystems, like the Cerrado in Brazil, are being destroyed for the production of soya we use here in the UK.  These ecosystems are essential to hundreds of thousands of species of plants and animals.

I want this destruction to stop, for the sake of the thousands of species of plants and animals and many traditional communities that depend on the biological diversity of this area.

I'd like you to help too 2013 by making sure that, by 2015, 100% of your soya comes from RTRS-certified sources

I'm supporting WWF's "Save the Cerrado" campaign, and I hope you will play your vital part in helping to save nature here and in other important places like it.
