Xbox Live Party Chat in MW2!

Put party chat on MW2. game chat is so annoying with all the little high pitched bastards screaming down the headset when they get a kill. i get loads of party invites when im playing online and i have to say im in game chat. You also get people complaining and what have you which gets pretty old so...

Come on, this situation is nuts! I play with friends and we don't want to have to listen to all to the frequently juvenile, foul and racist language. We just want to be able to hang out talking in party chat, while mixing and matching our choice of game types. This banning of party chat in certain game types is incomprehensible.

I can not play Team Deathmatch and talk to my other friends or Join my friends party and talk to them if they are playing MW2......... but I despise the fact that I have to listen to the Ignorance, verbal racial abuse, verbal pornagraphic abuse, and or the rude and hateful people that like to spout off in Game Chat. This has destroyed the multiplayer experience and fun I used to have. THIS IS NOT RIGHT Please, for the love of all that is good, bring it back!!!

I would be happy if party chat was brought back for team deathmatch at the very least...I understand not having it available for game types where there are no re-spawns as it does create an advantage by allowing "dead" players to guide remaining teammates.

We do need party chat in all game modes in Modern Warfare 2. Without is pretty much taking a large element out of Xbox Live

I've been waiting for this game since the time it was announced. I was very disappointed to see this change in the multiplayer experience, not only can I not play Team Deathmatch and talk to my other friends but I cannot block the Ignorance and Abuse of some of the Immature players in Game Chat. A couple of my friends are already boycotting this game for that and I can see why, it killed the multiplayer experience we had playing Call of Duty 4. Please fix this Issue and I assure you, you will see the difference in players and possibly copies sold. If you do not fix this problem you will almost certainly see the lose of players and support from the Xbox 360 community.

Party chat allows me to play with my friends without hearing the 1,000 idiots and eleven year old kids screaming in my ear. Please, for the love of all that is good, bring it back. If people are concerned with party chat cheating, perhaps some tournament or professional rooms could be created to allow the truly serious gamers play against other teams without party chat. As for me, I don't care if I win or lose. I just like hanging with my friends and doing work on call of duty without having to mingle with usually offensive strangers. Thanks, RNWIV brass_anglo

Please allow party chat in all game modes other than Search and Destroy. My friends and I cannot play MW2 together because of this feature. If we join a game, and a party member is kicked, they cannot tell us as we're in game chat and they're in party chat. It's an atrocious decision. Furthermore, I never chat outside of a party. Game chat channel is unfortunately flooded with abuse and intolerance. This is compounded by the lack of a 'search local game' setting. I'm constantly abused simply for being Australian by the many American players in a game. Not being able to play and chat with my friends makes this game impossible to love. We're all going back to WaW -but will return if this is fixed.

Make it stop! My ears bleed everytime I have to hear these jr. high kids yelling at the top of their lungs. The mute button only works if you can remember their name and/or find them in time before the bleeding starts impairing my xbox controls.

I believe the removal of party chat has spoilt the muliplayer on MW2. We own xbox's and loved COD4 because we could do this. I want to play online and talk to my friends. nobody uses party chat tactically. If you really wanted to hear the other team, there was an eavesdrop perk in COD4 but still no one used it. Bring back party chat and bring us back out of the dark PS3 ages. and IW please stop fixing things that are not broken COD4 multiplayer was awesome.

Unfortunately the "collaboration" that Infinity Ward wanted us to create on Xbox360 is non-existant. 90% of the time it's usually dead silence from everyone else. Otherwise the other 10% of the time is massive trash talking then obnoxious people (mainly kids) singing loudly. Party chat is a means for friends who enjoy a common game to have a truly enjoyable experience and I urge Infinity Ward to change this decision soon or I will no longer be purchasing or supporting anything Infinity Ward produces ever again.

Xbox Live is supposed to be another way to hang out with friends. IW is making it so we cant talk to them while playing their game without having to yell over the stupid little kids and such , who BTW we wouldnt even have to listen to if it had party chat.

Dear Infinity Ward I really love your game but I feel you have taken 1 step forward and two steps back by disabling the party chat in MW2. Me and my friends love playing Headquarters and are disapointed that we can no longer chat amongst ourselves. Other players dont want to hear us chat as much as we dont want to hear them.. easpecially the annoying players who scream down the mic. Maybe you can have alternative servers? With and without party chat enabled.. I know what option me and my friends will be choosing ;) IW winning multiplayer game of the year 2010 may depend my vote (and potentially many more)..you dont want to loose out to valve's LFD2 ;) Please can you fix this issue in your next update :) you game is excellent apart from this fault. thanks Tom Longland

I am a Modern Warfare 2 purchaser and huge fan. I was disappointed to find out that my friends and I can not join a party and play "Team Death Match" and other match types without switching to "Game Chat" which then forces us to listen to people that we do not have any interest in talking to, because of age, prejudice (not me but others), and or people who are just plain rude. I have found ways to get around it by switching to private chat or muting all other players. I would greatly appreciate the game that much more. So I would like for Infinity Ward strongly consider updating the chat function through an online update to better satisfy its customers.
