Against The Comfort Cove Fur Farm

Against The Comfort Cove Fur Farm

Target:
Anyone against fur farms
Sponsored by:
I recently became aware that a mink fur farm exists in Comfort Cove, Newfoundland. In addition to the mere existance of this cruel farm, I have been made aware that they are recieving at least $750 000 dollars in Government grants to expand. I am absolutely outraged that the government of this province can find nothing better to invest in, than something to further increase our dependance on the exploitation of animals. The exploitation of animals for fur has already gained this province significant scrutiny, from their participation in the seal massacre which takes place off it's shores every spring.
The central Newfoundland area has a significant drug problem within it's youth and I am outraged that the government cannot invest in a buisness suited to keep our youth occupied, such as a swimming pool, or a movie theatre. They, instead, choose to further tarnish their tourism industry by funding an industry of cruelty and barbaric practices.
I have been recently made aware that this isnt the only fur farm in the area, not by far. These buildings are well hidden from the public eye, and it is my goal to now expose each and every one of them.
Sign this petition and pledge that you will not be supporting the NL tourism industry until we demolish the fur iondustry in NL altogether!

We, the undersigned, sign this petition with the hopes of making the
government of Newfoundland aware that we do not approve of the funding being given to the Comfort Cove Mink Farm. We recognize this as a cruel and brutal industry that will not aid Newfoundland's already tarnished tourism industry. We believe that the funding would be better spent to aid buisness in the area which could keep our youth off the streets and off drugs.Perhaps a local pool or a movie theatre would be better? Please consider this, and the damage it will do to your tourism industry when the world finds out how many fur farms are in operation, and the  fact that the government is spending tax money on funding them!

Save the minks! My neighbour asked me to go with him to work and with out telling me I found out he worked at a mink ranch. I had to help him with his work it was the right thing to do which was feeding the mink...I looked in each of their eyes, and in each i saw a beautiful animal just wanting to explore and be free..Yet it was trapped in a cage, they say the animals are mean but its the other way around the people are...are you really human if you are taking somethings life just for clothes?

This area needs to invest in IT based vocations. Use your brains, not animals bodies.

Fur farming is one of the most heinous practices; there is NO legitimacy to fur. This is barbaric, cruel, and creates a paramount suffering. To farm animals for food, entertainment, experimenting, or clothing is wrong; these animals are being exploited to a degree that is difficult to conceptualize, yet you continue with your ludicrous, immoral, unethical, and selfish motives. There is no justification or excuse! You are an immoral piece of human garbage for treating animals with such disdain.
