We are trying to get enough signatures to forward to the appropriate individuals so that all the money collected from Michael Vick due to fines against his despicable crime be donated to Pit Bull or other Animal Rescue organizations. This is in addition to the restitution he should be making for the the dogs seized from him for the remainder of their lives. I strongly urge that the money be donated to foundations that are "AGAINST the ban and rights" of Pit Bulls.

I created an account due to information that my niece had been looking at from a post by a woman in Boston area showing some graphic pictures of the abuse of pitbulls. The one appeared still very young and appeared that it had scarring all over from someone who set it on fire. I couldn't get that image out of my mind. I sent an email to this woman in the hope of finding where this dog was at and to possibly see about adoption of this poor animal. I wrote that in the early ninetys that I traveled from West Virginia to Boston to bring my brother's pitbull back after a ban being put into affect at that time. We had Spuds for eleven wonderful years before he passed (kidney failure)and I am truely convinced it is the actions of sick people and not of this breed or any other animal when they turn on people. Had no idea that there was a long list of other people posting information about this ban on the dogs and sharing their experiences. I am happy to see that there are people who really care. I now reside in southern florida and it is not a pet friendly of any animal here. We have had this animal control called on us quite a few times due to our pet cats are not allowed out unless being on a leash. I give anyone fair warning if they plan to relocate to florida to really check the area first about pet restrictions and to see of the pet laws. You will not find this out by a realator and or of information on the computer print up of animal restrictions when viewing property on it. I do hope that I can find this original posting of the woman in the Boston area. I am going to see if I can find out of the shelters, ect in that area. We still own our residence in West Virginia and thats where I will be headed back to after we can sell this property or possibly beore that. I know that we will not be bothered there because of our pets. Animal control never came to people's residence unless you were starving an animal or other abuses.
