Return the Parthenon marbles

In 1832, a British diplomat named Lord Elgin removed 17 sculptures from the Parthenon in Athens to protect them from the Ottoman Empire.
The time has come for these symbols of Greek history to be returned to their rightful place.
There is no reason for them to remain in the British Museum. Their home is the Acropolis in Athens.
Having tried and failed to petition the British government (Not their department was the reply) This petition will be aimed directly at the British Museum board of trustees.
