I think Sign Language should be taught from an early age in every school. It's all well teaching children Spanish, French, German, etc but who's to say they will ever visit those countries? Sign Language is an all round skill that can be useful to some many people throughout life. Children may have friends that are deaf, family members, siblings, etc. They may grow up and have health issues them selves, meet a partner, go on to have children that may be deaf. There are so many gains to teaching our children Sign Language, not to mention an increase in communication. I have 2 boys myself, 9 and 1 and they both know how to sign, I think it's a wonderful skill to have. Especially children that may want to grow up and pave a career with it for themselves.
