Return Trash Collection Choice To Mercersburg, PA Residents

I am seeking support from residents of the borough of Mercersburg, PA to encourage their town council to abandon the current trash collection contract scheme and return choice to the residents of the town.

Engaging in an exclusive contract with the justification of better prices has led to extremely poor service from providers who know their customers have no other choice. If the town government feels it must be involved in this matter, it should investigate a partership with the local landfill, as neighboring Greencastle, PA has done, and ALSO allow residents to chose any area waste collection service that they choose to contract with.
