Create wildlife corridors and fauna overpasses when widening or building major roads

  • by: Eira Battaglia

Our native wildlife are currently being killed on our roads at record levels due to loss of habitat and need to cross major roads to get to new habitat or food supplies. Mona Vale Road is being widened to 6 lanes, the wildlife residing in the two National Parks, Ku-ring-gai and Garigal need connectivity to move between both for food and breeding purposes. The Northern Beaches hospital site has destroyed part of the wildlife corridor between Garigal, Manly Dam reserve and Narrabeen Lakes, a fauna underpass is vital to protect this wildlife corridor

Our wildlife are being killed at record levels on our roads, help prevent more roadkill with installation of fauna mitigation methods eg fauna overpass/underpass
