Push the United States to raise the quota of Syrian refugees

Everyday in Syria there is constant violence and death. No one is ever safe no matter which side they belong to or what their social status is. Innocent civilians must worry about a combatant group might come to their homes and harm them or a bomb might kill them in their sleep. People go to sleep worried about where their next meal will come from and whether or not they will freeze to death over the winter. Many Syrians are forced to leave their country in order to live a safe and free life.
Since the onset of the revolution in 2011
250,000 people have already died
Terrorist groups like ISIS force other religions to convert to Sunni Islam (especially Christians).
4,000,000 Syrians are already living outside of Syria mostly in Lebanon, Turkey, and Jordan.
Thousands of people have already drowned trying to enter Europe for a more prosperous life.
Even if they do make it into Europe they face abuse and xenophobia from Europeans.
The United States is already accepting 8,000 refugees but compared to smaller nations like Germany who are accepting 800,000 refugees we are not making a dent into the situation.
