Arrest The Killer Of 17-Year-Old Trayvon Martin

On February 26, 17-year-old Trayvon Martin and his father were visiting his father's girlfriend in a gated community near Orlando, FL, when Trayvon left during halftime of the NBA All-Star Game to get a bag of Skittles for his younger brother. When the young man returned into the community, with the candy and a soda, Neighborhood Watch captain George Zimmerman, 28, began to trail him. When police arrived, they found Trayvon Martin dead.

Although it is clear from the 911 tapes that Sanford Police released last Friday from the last moments of Trayvon's life that Zimmerman shot and killed an unarmed youth, no arrest has been made.

This is outrageous.

We the undersigned,
Have heard of the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida on February 26.

It appears that the young man returned from a local 7-11 carrying a bag of Skittles and an iced tea, and was perceived by George Zimmerman, the volunteer neighborhood watchman, to be suspicious.

For some reason, Zimmerman was armed with a nine-millimeter shotgun, which he used to shoot Martin in the chest. Zimmerman has said he acted in self-defense, but he was the one with the gun, while Martin had only his candy and his drink.

Please bring justice to this case, by arresting George Zimmerman, and prosecuting him for the murder of Trayvon Martin.

Thank you for your time.
