We are signing this petition in order to fight against the cruelty to animals of suspected criminal Rando Randma and demand his isolation from the society. We also demand to strengthen the punishments for kancking in the Estonian law.
Everything started 23 of February 2015 when a dog breeder asked an owner for the photos of a puppy given away a couple of days before. After long requests and complains the breeder has got the photos. The puppy did not seem to be alive; there was also blood on his chin. The breeder has distributed photos on Facebook, after which the new owner, who didn't answer anymore, has been detected.
His name is Rando Randma, his lives on Pae street in Tallinn. As far as we know, Rando has been convicted and has probation now.
After the photos of the puppy have become publicly known, turned out that there were many breeders who have given away their pets to Rando. Two pets were found dead in front of Rando's house in a plastic bag with rubbish.
At the moment there are 7 pets (4 dogs and 2 cats and one ferret) given away to Rando. None of them was seen alive anymore.
There are many evidences of Rando's blame. For example, in summer his neighbours found a trash bag, which smelled like corpses. His grandparents complain that their dog was scalded by him. Finally, there is his girlfriend, who saw him killing rodents. All this information is available on Facebook and in Estonian mass media. There are all the photos of animals given away to Rando.
Most of the citizens of Tallinn are trying to help the police in gathering the evidences, but for some reason Rando is still free. Moreover, according to the Estonian law, the maximum punishment he can face for all the animals killed is a regular fee.
We are shocked and scared. We do not want to live with Rando in one society, walk on the same streets and live in the same houses.
We demand strengthening the law concerning cruelty to animals. We also want Rando Randma to be isolated from our society.
Unless we are protected from Rando, we cannot be sure if there are no animals being killed right now.
We want to see decisive action of the Police towards Rando Randma. We want him to be isolated from our society as soon as possible.
We demand strengthening the law concerning cruelty to animals and want the maximum punishment of the Estonian law to be extended up to 5 years of jail. We also demand prohibiting the knackers from having pets forever.
