Demand Kingwood Lakes and Adara Communities Refund Tenants for Water/Sewer Over Charges

On December 2015 Melanie Bittone filed a complaint with the Texas Public Utility Commission against Kingwood Lakes Apartments, its Property Manager Adara Communities and owner Chowdary Yalamanchili for charging flat-rate water utilities which is a violation of PUC rules. The Texas PUC determined single tenants living in one and two bedroom dwellings were over charged for water and sewer. Kingwood was ordered to refund all applicable tenants going back to 2001, the year in which Kingwood began charging flat-rate utility cost. In PUC Docket# 46930, Kingwood is refusing to hand over utility invoices and refusing to furnish all tenant names. If you are a tenant living in a property managed by Adara Communities, previously CNC Investments and charged a flat-rate utility charge, please sign our petition. If the PUC will not due their job, we must convince the Texas Attorney General to step in. In addition to the water/sewer over-charges, this same complex has been illegally profiting millions of dollars in unlawful gas charges. You can view the details of the case in TX PUC docket 46930 and 45435 on the PUC Enterchange
