We need to save the Pavilion from being torn down. This beautiful Victorian Building is 138 years old built by the 9th Earl of Scarborough when he created the Pleasure Gardens for the use of Visitors to the town and the local community. The building has been unused since 2008 and left in disrepair we want to save it take it over from the East Lindsey District Council under a Community Asset Transfer and refurbish it so that it can once again be used by and for the people of Skegness.

Hello,

The Tower Gardens Pavilion has been in our Tower Gardens for 138 years it is older than the Clock Tower or St.Mathews Church in fact some of the fund raising for our beautiful town centre church was done actually in the Pavilion itself.  Soldiers returning from fighting in the First World War were feted in the Pavilion with a huge banquet.  How could we sit back and let so much of our history disappear.

Tower Gardens Pavilion Preservation Team want to repair and restore this lovely old building to its former glory, bring it back to it's glory days when it was used by the people of Skegness to celebrate with milestone occasions and very ordinary parties and family gatherings.

We see a Tea Room with a freindly smile and word for everone and rooms for local organisations, groups and clubs to come and carry out their hobbies and passtimes in affordable accomodation.  We see a building you can use for weddings, christenings and other family occasions.  We see a building which belongs to you the community no-one will be allowed to benefit from the activities in the Pavilion except the Paviliion itself all money will be ploughed back into keeping it repaired and maintained for our Children and Grandchildren.

Please support our campaign to save this lovely old building for the future of Skegness.

Thank you

Tower Gardens Pavilion Preservation Team.
