Demand Gastrointesinal Surgery be provided in all Health Insurance policies.

It has been clinically proven the gastrointestinal surgeries (i.e. gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy), has a near instant positive impact on obese patients with comorbidities such as Type II Diabetes, Hypertension, etc. Many patients are able to discontinue use of drugs for these conditions within a week or two. This SAVES lives and in the long run by reducing costs for medications, should impact the cost of insurance.
