Demand Greyhound comply with the Department of Justice ADA consent decree

Greyhound does not utilize safety equipment even close to what is used nationwide in most school districts handicap buses and on most handicap transport vans to properly and adequately secure for transport their disabled passengers who use wheelchairs or mobility scooters. This is in violation of the consent decree Greyhound entered into with the US Department of Justice to settle the ADA lawsuit against Greyhound by the DOJ. My scooter and I were tipped over during a turning maneuver on a greyhound bus because the securing straps and methods were woefully inadequate requiring I spend the night in an emergency room in excruciating pain and subsequent worsening of my pre-existing back condition. I do not want any other ADA passenger to suffer this when it can easily be prevented. PLEASE help me force Greyhound to correct this and adequately secure ADA passengers for transport on their buses fleet-wide by utilizing better securing straps and mechanisms as well as ensuring that all bus drivers know and will use proper methods of securing ADA passengers for transport using the new equipment.

Mr. Leach,

As CEO of Greyhound it is your duty and obligation to ensure your company utilizes safe and adequate methods and equipment to properly secure ADA passengers onboard your motorcoaches. I was injured and have suffered worsening of my pre existing back condition because of a failure to adequately and properly secure me for transport by one of your employees. This is completely unacceptable! You have a moral obligation as one of the nations largest passenger motorcoach transportation companies to ensure that ALL members of the riding public, specificaly ADA passengers, can ride aboard your company's fleet of busses safely without injury. Do your duty and implement the upgrade of equipment and properly train all bus drivers in the use of said equipment. Failure to do so is nothing short of negligence!
