Boycotting goods made in China that the named store carries until China puts animal welfare legislation in place in their country.
Mr. David Stovall, CEO/President Stein Mart, Inc.
Dear Mr. Stovall: We the undersigned request that your company carry in your stores more items made by manufacturers who make these items within the U.S. It would not only produce jobs in the U.S., but help shoppers who are protesting the import of items from countries which abuse human and animal rights. China, for instance, abuses animals in gruesome ways for the fur trade, often skinning dogs and cats alive and incorporating real fur with fur labeled fake. Dyed fur labeled fake cannot easily be distinguished from cat fur. There are many shoppers leaving your stores (this has been witnessed) without buying anything because of so little "made in U.S.A." that they can buy (corroborated). Thousands who belong to animal welfare groups are boycotting fur - real and fake - and foreign made items because of abuses. Your stores and prices are excellent, but it would be deeply appreciated if you would carry more goods made in our own country.
Thank you for you consideration in this matter.
