Gay Marriage

Target:
National Government
Sponsored by:
I created this petition to achieve a goal, that goal would be to legalize gay marriage in all of the fifty states. I am not gay, but I do feel that people who are should have the right to get married. What if a man and a woman could not get married? How would that make you feel? Now, how do you think gay people feel because they can't express themselves and make a life long commitment to the person they love? This is America, and here people are free. Everyone should have the right to get married no matter what their sexual orientation. If two people love each other they should be aloud to pledge their love for eachother through marriage.

I completely agree. Love is Love, and we should Honor that. I believe love in all forms is absolutely beautiful. Plus, how does their marriage affect anyone else? I really don't know. It affects me hugely, but mainly by placing complete happiness within me :)

Gay people should have the same rights as heterosexuals. Being gay is not a disease. GOD made us as just as HE made everything else and everyone else. WE have feelings too and the right to love whom we choose.

I do not know what the big deal is. Just let people marry who they want no matter what there sexual orientation may be.I strongly agree that Gay Marriage should be legalized. People say this country is a 'free place', but really, discrimination is hindering that. It is not right at all. It needs to stop. Everyone has the right to get married. Even those of the same sex, be it female or male. Love does not tell you who to love, it just comes. It's those who don't know Love that is against this kind of marriage. Marriage is a something worth considering when it come to wills, banking, insurance policies, and even the visits to the hospital. Again Love just comes and no-one has the right to tell anyone that it can't. People who are against gay marriage should stop to think about what they are doing. What if the majority were for gay marriage and they made marriage between a man and a women illegal? What if you were one of the last heterosexuals in America. What if you were being harassed because you were heterosexual. What would you do? Would you shout from the roof tops, that they were violating your Constitutional Rights. When they wrote the Constitution one of our Founding Fathers said that the key to freedom is Tolerance. If you want to stay free, stop trying to tell other people what they can and can't do. Besides Marriage isn't just about procreation, it's about dedicating yourself to the person you love. And everyone knows that "Love knows no bounds."

At this time, my partner and I are Registered Domestic Partners. I look forward to the time when gay people have the rights as heterosexuals. I would like to be married to my partner.

Love is fluent and universal. we don't want more rights than anyone else just the same rights. We just want to love eachother openly and freely. To celebrate and finalize our commitments. To grow old together the same way a heterosexual couple would.

I do not know what the big deal is. Just let people marry who they want no matter what there sexual orientation may be. Just because the Bible says it is supposed to be a man and a woman is a huge cop-out.

Since somebody wants to get married and it will do no harm to anybody, I believe they should have the right to do whatever they like with their own lives.
