The citizens of El Paso deserve to know what happens with the money that comes out of our pockets and be given proof that we are not being used as a tool in the newest ponzi scheme who's headliners include the DOA and the PSB.

Are you planning on raping our soldiers pockets of thier hard earned money. With the upcomming Bliss expansion the city can count on many soldiers living off base, so give your city and people a break or will the PSB continue to make it harder to live here? Speaking of harder can EP water be any harder, so now we have to finanace severe maintenance for our water dependent appliances and HVAC, and plumbing in years to come. if any of us are still here.

It is unbeleivable how city officials take advantage of unsuspecting citizens to fatten their wallet and further their careers, even if it means to take from the poor to help the rich. after all, they are bringing a hefty check home, lined with bonuses and other fringe benefits. Shame on you.

I've always suspected that I've been paying way too much for water service and the fees for trash collection are outrageous. My blood is beginning to boil at the thought of corrupt entities profiting for providing basic water service to their fellow citizens. It is no wonder why this city remains at the same level and will never advance. The population may grow, but now even more people will be complaining that there is nothing to do here and no big concerts are held here, and no big attractions are build here. Corrupt individuals from both sides need to be investigated now!

The PSB board is full of lies. Their first and foremost obligation is to the citizens of El Paso. we pay taxes and hidden charges on our bill while trying to survive on this tough economic crisis that this country is facing while they can fly around in their private jets. It's our duty as El Paso citizens to focus on petitioning to set an investigation and demand answers from our "Elected Leaders", they owe it to us.

The price of water is too high making it difficult to continue living in El Paso. The surrounding areas do not have to pay rates that we do. Why?

I am a retired citizen 83 yrs old living in El Paso, Texas on a fixed income. I have always practised water conservation. I am a Master Gardener and have used a drip system for over twenty years to water my vegetable garden. I have a sprinkler system with a timer to irrigate my 1000 sq ft lawn (a small lawn) in the rear of my house. The front yard is desert landscaped. The price of water has risen so high (2008) that I have been forced to forego the pleasure of a vegetable garden and a green patch of lawn in the rear of my house. Everything is dry and ugly. Is this how I have been rewarded for practising water conservation?

The whole world is demanding change in leadership and the WAY leadership itself is managed. The greed and hidden agendas have become business as usual, contributing to a global meltdown in economics and trust. Now the public at all levels are DEMANDING, and rightly so, ethical behavior in governance. Get used to it. The change needed in our global leaders begins at home with our local leaders. Whether public or private, we will no longer stand for unethical, greedy standards. The ONLY way do your part for the road to economic recovery is to do what can be done to restore trust and confidence with the public: Responsibility, Visibility, Accountability! If there is nothing to hide, show us and do your part NOW. One question: What exactly does the “Public” and “Service” stand for in “The Public Service Board” anyway- no seriously, we want to know!

We need to dissolve the PSB! Archuleta is passed his prime and needs to retire. Remember when Cristo Rey was proposed as a center point for a West Side dam? How about the water pipeline from East Texas? And lastly recall the covered canal from Elephant Butte/Caballo? New Mexico owes Texas a massive water debt. When will we ever learn to be water smart?

The water bill here is ridiculous! I live paycheck to paycheck and have to decide whether I pay for heat for my home or the high water bill. Thank God I have blankets and warm clothes for my children so they don't freeze.

I've been an El Paso taxpayer for four years. Had I known that my property taxes and utilities would be going up every year for no apparent reason I would've never bought a house in El Paso. The public entities are big rip offs.

I believe that this issue was not properly researched and the PSB billing is not legal. I do not agree with how the process came about.

The PSB is also now in charge of collecting the storm water fees. To the tune of $35,000,000.00 a year. They don't even have a plan, and won't have until sometime in 2010. They don't know how much it will cost, or how long they will be charging the additional fee. I would like to know the answer to this one. Great website i am sending it to everyone I know.

I have a rental property that is empty. For the most part, no water is being consumed. I am being charged $50.00a month for water service. The electricity & gas are only about $15.00 each. The garbage can is almost never put out for pick-up. The rates are outrageous.

This reeks of corruption to me and expecting existing customers to pay for expansion to new homes, sounds like handouts to developers. Why don't the developers/new home builders pay for the infrastructure they require. Everyone else does. If you are in support of the Citizens of El Paso and the Taxpayers of your county you will agree to this fair inquiry. Thank you.

We need to be held accountable for our own use. Not the use of others. That is called freeloading and our Country is not based of the freeloading philosphy.

The citizens of El Paso deserve to know answers to these questions about the PSB. Transparency is essential if the Mayor and City Council are serious about answering the concerns of their constituents.

Not sure if my signature will help, but I'm sure it can't hurt. I'm tired of being charged for the misuse of funds by companies and utilities that are ineptly managed. The auto industry wants us to pay $25B to bail them out, but their CEO's all travel in their own private jets! The unions have run the auto industry into the ground, let them go under. Let's have some accountability!!!!
