Please follow the Coyote Canyon Blogsite for up-to-date information on the Coyote Canyon Wild Horse Herd's fight for freedom.
Horses of this herd are being caretaken by Coyote Canyon Caballos D'Anza until they can be returned to their natural, free-roaming habitat.

Return the wild horses to the land that was protected for them in 1971--wiping out these bands of horses is breaking this law. They are a part of the heritage and history of our country that was to be protected in perpetuity by the Wild and Free Roaming Act. The public and taxpayers have an ownership right to expect exemplary actions from the BLM regarding our public land. We are not seeing it, and the horses are definitely getting the short end of the stick here, pun intended.

Please - restore this herd to its rightful ecosystem. There is so much involuntary migration, removal, etc., that it is very heartening that this country has the abililty and hopefully the will to make this restoration a reality. This is the America that spaks to the sould of the identity we Americans are so proud of - our precious wild resources.

These Wild Mustangs are suppose to be roaming free. Not kept in a coral.. These horses are part of there ancestors.. They are HISTORY!! MUSTANGS are to LOOK at NOT to be CAPTURED. If you do there SPIRIT is BROKEN. Do you really want to do that? The wild Burros are also indeed wild and should stay that way.. All these animals need there freedom. It's the law in our book. And should be yours. Do you have any compassion and heart to these awesome animals? You should. If your children or grandchildren ride horses. Where do you think those horses came from? WE WILL NOT BACK DOWN FOR WHAT WE BELIEVE.. :)

I am so tired of seeing the will of the people trampled upon. When the BLM or whoever removes those horses they are stealing from me! They are mine as an American, a part of my heritage. Leave them alone!

These horses belong to the American people and they belong roaming free on our public lands. It's time to stop the corruption and stop selling us and our precious resources out to the freeloading ranchers who push the horses off the land to graze cattle at OUR expense. It's time to stop all leasing of all public lands for good. No mining, no drilling, no blowing the tops off of mountains and leaving the rubble and pollution behind. And most of all, NO MORE ROUNDING UP our WILD HORSES to sell for 35$ each for pete's sake. STOP, just STOP.

The removal of every one of these Majestic animals from their legal Home and Families, that OUR Government has SWORN to protect, and Despite the overwhelming American public opinion-- is a Travesty! This whole fiasco of US Govt LIES, Cover-ups, and Greed quite literally makes me sick! And makes me Ashamed to see what "we" have become, in our so-called "civilized society"! Call your Senators, your Governor, your President (he won't answer to THIS responsibility)--ask them to pass the R.O.A.M. act immediately in the Senate! Do NOT believe what the bought-n-paid-for Secretary Salazar or Bureau of LAND Mgmt says-- do the research for yourself-- but BE ready to feel Anger, Shame, Frustration...

DO YOU WANT EVERYTHING TO BE COVERED WITH ASPHALT AND CEMENT? MORE AND MORE PEOPLE ARE WANTING AND NEEDING TO HAVE SOME WILDERNESS LEFT AND KNOW THAT THERE IS SOMETHING IN IT THAT STILL HAS IT'S FREEDOM. PEOPLE WITH VISION UNDERSTAND THIS. THE PLACES THAT ARE CONSIDERED THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND DESIREABLE HAVE LEFT LOTS OF PIECES OF LAND JUST AS THEY ARE. THAT GIVES PEOPLE SOME PLACE TO GET AWAY AND GET SOME BIT OF QUIET AND SOLITUDE. WE ARE ALL , AFTER ALL, PART OF NATURE.

Please return our horses to their legally granted home range. Public lands are for naturally occurring species, and the wild horses belong to this category. Wild horses should be just that - WILD!

Yes, I support the restoration of the Coyote Canyon Wild Horse Herd to their rightful habitat under the Wild Free-roaming Horse and Burro Act...the Beauty Mountain region of public lands in San Diego and Riverside Counties. Wild Horses are our magnificent heritage in the United States and found nowhere else on earth! Treasure them for their wild spirit and love of freedom and family! All attributes we as Americans cherish.

Instead of constantly ridding the land of the spectacular mustangs, here we have a chance to restore a historic herd to their native habitat. This could be the beginning of a restoration of mustangs to the range where they belong!

If we all keep fighting for "our" wild horses and burros, maybe one day the government will wake up and stop the BLM's managed extinction of these "public" owned icons on "our" public owned lands. Every roundup that takes place is desimating the genetic viability of all wild horses and burros, and soon they will be lost forever. Their only salvation is the passing of S.1579. Call, write, e-mail your Senators and Representatives. The passing of this bill will restore their land and their freedom once again.

# 314:

We are quickly reaching the point of extinction of our wild horses. Entire herds are being removed or reduced to non-viable numbers by the BLM! They need to remain on their native habitat, not removed to the East or adopted. Please reconsider your actions or you will need to explain to your grandchildren why the Earth could not be shared.

This herd as well as all others STOLEN from their home ranges deserve to be returned. The land was also stolen from these horses for other uses. The Wild Horses and Burros that are still disappearing from their lands are victims of hate and greed and the manipulations of those who would gain by their 'disposal.' I only hope that the many good and unique bloodlines have not been entirely lost. Return Our Wild Horses to their range. MKW

One by one, our wild horse herds are vanishing from the western landscape. Please do everything in your power to stop the BLM's irreversible destruction of our national heritage and return these magnificent animals to their RIGHTFUL lands before the last wild hoofbeats of these American icons are silenced forever.

We the Public want BLM and The Department of INterior to Return all wild Horses and Burros to their Habitats. This animals have earned their right to be here, to be respected and allow to roam freely and in peace for ever. Their are a great assets to the Land by mixing their manuver, urine into the soil an enrichment for the folish to grow healthy etc. and having a rich soil is good for our own as well. PLEASE, STOP AT ONCE AND FOR ALL THE WILD HORSES AND BURROS ROUNDUPS !!! BLM "STOP LYING ABOUT THE HORSES SAYING THAT THERE ARE TOO MANY FOR THE LAND TO SUPPORT." I have been looking after a herd of wild horses and out of my own pocket have give them contraceptive to help keep the herds small with out hurting, mutilating any of them. So, with all that money you have gotten from the Government 'WHY HAVEN'T YOU USE THIS METHOD TO MANGAGE THE HERDS?""??? WHERE HAVE THAT MONEY BEEN USED??? YES, OF COURSE, LIKE SOME OTHER GOVERNMENT DEPT. THAT MONEY HAS GONE UNDER THE TABLE AND THE HELL WITH WHAT WAS INTENDED FOR in the first place. I VOTE FOR THE WILD HORSES AND BURROS MANAGEMENT BE REMOVE FROM THE BLM CARE. CARE?? WHAT CARE?? ALL THEY CARE IS TO PUT MONEY IN THEIR POCKETS AND FORGET ABOUT OUR BEAUTIFUL WILD LIFE. I ON MY OWN HAVE GONE OUT THERE IN THE FIELDS TO REPAIR GATES, FENCES TO PROTECT WHAT EVER WILD LIFE FROM GETTING RUN OVER IN THE HIGHWAY AND WHEN DO I SEE A BLM OFFICIAL OUT THERE CARING FOR THIS??? I FIND, OLD SPIKE WIRES LAYING ON THE GROWND A DANGER FOR ANY WILD LIFE. SO BLM DON'T TELL ME YOU DO MANAGE HERDS BECAUSE, IN MY VOCABULARY FOR MANAGEMENT HAS A DIFFERENT MEANING THAN YOURS.
