I understand that smoking causes health problems and I understand second hand smoke does the same. This is no reason to impose a law that robs the American people of their civil liberties. I believe that as an American business owner you should be able to decide whether or not to allow smoking in your establishment. I think that this should come with safeguards for non-smoking customers and workers. I believe that if an establishment that wishes permit smoking should have a completely walled off area separated by a door from the non-smoking area. I also believe that the owner should have to get a certain number of workers to sign a contract informing them of the health hazards and stating that they agree to work in the smoking zone(probably would mean more money for people choosing to work in these zones). These safeguards will discourage many business owners from partaking in the smoking zones but at least the owners will be able to decide for themselves on how to best run their business for themselves and their customers. The government has increasingly become a nanny for the United States over the past several years and in doing this they take away the choices of the people. We need to support the fact that we want our liberties back.
