Stop Shark Finning in Asian Waters

Shark finning is an extreme way to kill a non-deserving shark by catching the shark, chopping off it's fins, and throwing it back into the water where it will die a very painful and long death. While sinking, the sharks drown because water isn't allowed through their gills in result of the finning, and while they're bleeding to death, little to big fish are eating away at it. Sharks are very valuable for the multi-million industry for shark fin soup. Reguardless that the soup contains a very high percent of poisonous mercury level, shark fin soup is beyond valued and sells on average for $100 a bowl in Asia.
17 countries have banned the practice of shark finning. Asia, the leading continent of animal torture, still allows this, with Japan doing a large amount of the finning. We start with Japan, we work our way around to eventually getting one country at a time in Asia. Please, we know Japan kills hundreds of dolphins, don't let them continue with sharks either.
And sharks aren't common, they are endangered, and with shark finning still legal in most countries, it's still on the decline. Some populations have declined as much as 99% in the past 35 years, and because sharks are at the top of the food chain in the ocean, if they decline, so do most other important fish.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, all of us appreciate it tremendously. We bring to you the problem of shark finning, and we realize that you may have overlooked it, but it is a serious issue that doesn't only effect these beautiful creatures, but as well as your people. Shark fin soup is a delicacy, and we respect that, as of every country has their special treat, but this has got to decline and most of all, there has to be a more humane way of killing. I'll keep it short because I know there are other important tasks you have to aid to, so once again, thank you. Please look into spreading this concern, and making adaptations. If this creature goes down, your magnificent people go down as well.
