Free Horse Program for Horses up for Slaughter

I petition that at least one free horse be given to someone who can care for or will care for a horse up for slaughter to be rescued. The person or persons will have to travel to pick up the horse or horse from any state. Many people such as Amish cultures still actively use horses for everyday use. This would save an animal's life instead of using it for horse meat. Someone locally in N.H. saved one and I think it might be a good idea. Many folks would care for a horse and some may have been released, being somewhat domesticated. It is such a shame that these gorgeous animals be used for meat packing instead of being appreciated as they should be.
