Long County GA; Demand to Cease Eviction of Miracle Ranch Animal Rescue

  • by: Ellen Seiders
  • recipient: Long County Board of Commissioners, Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, Georgia Congressman Jack Kingstons

We, the citizens of Long County Georgia, surrounding counties and the United States hereby petition the County Representatives to cease the eviction of Miracle Ranch a/k/a MOMS Rescue (hereinafter referred to as “Miracle Ranch”) located at 194 Hugh Gordon Lane, SE, Ludowici, Georgia. No explanation and/or supporting documents have been provided to Miracle Ranch for this forced closing.

There is insufficient written documentation at this time to warrant the forced closing of Miracle Ranch. Until the commissioners can provide such documentation to the owners of Miracle Ranch and make said documentation available for the public to review and publicly address the Board’s decision, all efforts to close Miracle Ranch should be suspended.

The requested documents include the following: any and all complaints made by neighbors; noise ordinance violations and/or other code violations; zoning ordinances; state and federal violations as to licencing in this state, and any and all documentation pertaining to the closure of Miracle Ranch which have not been previously listed.

We demand that the Long County Board of Commissioners provide clear factual evidence that the decision to force the closure of Miracle Ranch was to the benefit of this community and they at they have authority to take such action.

We also request information regarding the “relocation fund” set up by the Long County Board of Commissioners on behalf of Miracle Ranch w/o the knowledge of Miracle Ranch:  to include but not limited to: PO Box information, bank name and account numbers, what happens to the funds should the county fail to assist in any move (if justified), and authorized signers on the account.
