NO MORE BUILDINGS ON OUR GREEN SPACE

As the parents and friends of the Nailsworth Primary school community, we want our children to continue to have the maximum green and free space available to them.
This not only promotes their physical well being but allows for play and a broadness of mind and attitude – harder to measure but an influencing life element.
Part of the culture and desirable nature of the school is its history. Not only do we want to preserve this with existing buildings but add to it in a meaningful way.
There were multiple sites for a new building and this was considered the cheapest but the least desired by Governing Council and faculty a like.
This will be the 4th building encroaching onto the oval in the last few years. This erosion of space we will not get back.
There are other options and solutions that can achieve the same outcomes and make better use of cemented/ paved areas.
We should not rush this decision but apply some further planning, exploration and discussion.
Please register your concern by signing this petition and we can try to achieve the BEST all round outcome for the children – not just the easiest.
