Today in school, we walked into class to see an emotional Jackie Gilbert sitting in the front of the room, when questioned, she informed us that her teaching contract will end this year, she is being fired.. "not the right fit". BS!
We all sat in silence crying with her, but we realize we need to stand strong. We are fighting tooth and nail for her, we've reached out to all superior figures possible. Anyone who knows Jackie knows how dedicated and loved she is both at school and in the horse world.
We cannot stand to see Jackie lose her job over a "your not the right fit", when we all know she is. Jackie Gilbert is the most amazing teacher, mentor, coach, and friend any of us could've asked for. She does so much for everyone else, now it's time we fight for her. Please, whether you know Jackie or not, sign this so we can take it to the school board, superintendent, and city council, ect. Write letters, email and call any of these people and voice your support for Jackie.
