Help us honor the passed students of SHHS at the graduation of 2015

We the students, parents, and members of the Shawnee heights community wright to you in the hopes that you will consider a great proposal we have to offer you. We feel like it is our right to honor the students that have passed in the class of 2015 in our graduation ceremony. We believe that Alexis Salmon, and Shaye Shelby should in some way, shape or form be represented on this life changing day. Although they can not be with us physically we wish to honor them at what would have been there high school graduation. We would appreciate it if you could take the time to consider our proposition.
We are reaching out to you because we have came up with a few ideas we would like you to take into consideration. Such as having a moment of silence during the ceremony, or play a song in honor of those that have passed in the class of '15. Another idea was to have Shaye and Lexie still have their own chairs at graduation. We would fill these chairs with things these girls cherished in their lives. Such as softball, soccer, pictures, flowers, balloons and a card signed by the class of '15 of whom which wish to participate. Which after the ceremonies we would be delighted to give these things to their families to cherish forever.
We are well aware that in the past you have not done such things for students that have passed on their journey threw high school. We wish to make a difference for our fellow classmates families, we want them to know Lexie and Shaye won't ever be forgotten and will always be apart of the class of 2015 at Shawnee Heights High School. Graduation is a time we all get together and celebrate our accomplishments. Finally achieving the goal we've all been waiting for. That day we get to start our journey in life. Something we all take for granted. Some kids weren't as lucky as my fellow senior classmates that are about to graduate. Some kids such as Shaye and Lexie didnt make it to that day unfortunately. You never know when your last day may be, and you can never take a day for granted. Lexie and Shaye's deaths were unexpected. No one saw it coming and it was out of our control. But what we can control is how we remember these amazing girls. How we honor them, the same way in which you would want honored if you were to not see another day. We wish to share this day with ALL our fellow thunderbirds.
