As residents of one of the most modern and fast paced cities in the world, you would expect everyone in Dubai to have an internet connection. While Etisalat continue to advertise a fantastic service and the highest internet speeds in the region, the residents of around 300 villas in Jebel Ali Village are left without a wired connection.
Jebel Ali Village was again leased by Nakheel around 18 months ago in the middle of 2013. Etisalat agreed with Nakheel soon after this that they would connect the Village to their high speed fibre network, after assurances from Nakheel that the Village would remain in existence and leased for the long term. However, to date even the longest serving residents are still without an internet connection in their homes.
After numerous complaints to Nakheel, Etisalat and the TRA without response, we now petition Etisalat and the TRA to act quickly to get us connected.
