Demand Prosecution of Belfast Father and Sons for Torturing Dogs and Cats

Please sign and share this petition in an effort to prosecute the father and his sons in Belfast who believe in abusing, torturing and shredding apart dogs and cats as part of dog fight training!
What a wonderful example this father is for training dogs for dog fighting in Belfast with the help of his sons! The father is Jeremiah Kirkwood, 43 and his sons Wayne, 20 and Christopher, 23 from Island Street. As part of the training, they are allowing dogs to shred cats to bits. They have also used four terrier-mix puppies in their “training.” Another “friend” of the sons was I involved in keeping or training a whippet/Staffordshire bull terrier mix for the purpose of these fighting rings.
The police have been investigating this situation for a couple of years now and they need to punish these guys to the fullest extent of the law. The videos that have been used in the case is horrific; one shows a poor, innocent cat trapped in a cat with a dog fighting canine, tearing the poor victim to pieces. Another dog did the same to a badger. As described by officials, these acts were "wickedness at its worst". It is the vilest example of premeditated animal cruelty and abuse!
Not only should all four of these guys, the father, two sons and breeder of the fighting dogs, be prosecuted to the highest maximum sentencing for these acts of animal cruelty and abuse, none of them should ever be near, touch or own another animal for the rest of their lives! The not-so-funny thing is these monsters are currently out on bail, walking around, awaiting their sentence!! One of the officials in the case stated “I have seen some of the footage which formed part of this case and it was horrific to say the least. By all accounts, it was one of the worst cases of animal cruelty brought to courts and it stuns me that people could be so callous towards the creatures involved. This kind of vile brutality towards animals should have no place in a decent society. I cannot comprehend the mind of a person who could bring themselves to partake in such appallingly cruel behavior.” Additionally, I am pleased this barbaric practice has been stopped in this case and my thoughts are with not only the animals tortured and killed and their owners, but also with the dogs used in these attacks, as they too have been horrifically abused and brutalized."
The mother in this case was originally charged but released with no evidence against her. I kind of find it hard to believe she knew nothing of the abuse involving her entire family! Yet she walks free but should still be banned from having any animals in her home with a family of men known animal abusers. Please sign and share this petition in an effort to prosecute the father, his sons and dog breeder in Belfast who believe in abusing, torturing and shredding apart dogs and cats as part of dog fight training!
Belfast Crown Court, Judge Donna McColgan – Please ensure that you punish the Kirkwood men and their little breeder friend to the full extent of the law. I also cannot believe that the wife and mother had no clue as to what her “men” in the family were doing without stepping up and stopping or reporting it. This is such a horrible case and they people should never, ever be allowed to touch, own or even be near another animal for the rest of their lives and need to be punished to the fullest extent of the law, similar to the torture they inflicted on these innocent living beings!!
