ASHLEY'S CAMPAIGN FOR A LOCAL CINEMA IN CATERHAM

Ashley is a member of Kenley Primary School's Young Reporters Club for Year 5 Pupils.

In March 2012 he started a campaign for a local cinema in Caterham as part of his news reporting in the club. At the moment, the closest cinema is in Croydon, almost a half hour's drive away.

Ashley's campaign was picked up by the Surrey Mirror (Caterham Edition) who ran a story about his petition. Although we have many signatures of support at the school, it is hoped that through the Mirror's story and their publication of a link to this petition, we may be able to also gain the support of the wider local community and other local schools in the area.

The campaign is supported by Ashley's Headteacher, Mrs Catanach, and by Mr Palmer, who runs the Reporters Club.

Please support Ashley's campaign and sign his petition below. In May 2012, we will be passing on the signatures to VUE ENTERTAINMENT.

Let's hope that strong support for this campaign will bring new life to the area for young movie buffs and all those who love seeing movies on the big screen - without having to travel all the way to Croydon to do so!
