Release the animals to Rescue Groups

This petition, is designed to make known, the public demand for The City of Copperas Cove, Texas to open its City Animal Shelter to rescue groups. By not allowing legitimate, 501c3 organizations to safely take animals out of the city shelter, you are denying them any chance, whatsoever to find a new home.
We, the signers of this petition demand, that you open your shelter, to rescue organizations and allow them the priviledge to pull animals out of your shelter. Legitimate Organizations will pay for spay and nueter, heartworm check, and all wellness checks at their expense.

For your City Animal Advisory Board, to continue to deny these animals a safe harbor, is autrocious. It cost you nothing, to release the animals and let other organizations  have care, custody and control. There is no money to be made, this is for the welfare of the animals. No rescue organization rescues animals for profit, they rescue for love of the animals, so regardless of your personal feelings on this matter, you should be concerned with the welfare of the animals. Putting all of them to sleep, in the event you have low adoptions one week, is NOT a good answer. Neither is, "The rescues will take the best dogs"  None of the rescue groups want the liability of a dangerous dog, and they do take ones most likely, to get adopted, or ones that NO ONE wants.  So any of these excuses are NOT ACCEPTABLE.
We want the shelter opened to rescues to save more animals PERIOD.
