Social Security recipients NEED their 5.8% Cost of Living wage.

While reading the news today online, an article popped up that had just hit the wires from the Associated Press.  The article written by AP staff writer Stephen Ohlemacher, entitled "Milllions face shrinking Social Security payments" states "Millions of older people face shrinking Social Security checks next year, the first time in a generation that payments would not rise.  The trustees who oversee Social Security are projecting there won't be a cost of living adjustment (COLA) for the next two years".

As a disabled person on Social Security Disability, my income is so limited now, $793.00 per month. that I can barely pay my bills and try to raise my 20 year old daughter.  Last year the COLA was only a mere 5.8% raise.  If I don't get that raise and health care continues to cost more, as well as everyday things that I will not be able to afford.  My refrigerator is bare now as it is.   PLEASE HELP TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN DISABLED PEOPLE AND RETIRED PERSONS LIVES.  Please sign this petition and just maybe, we can make a real difference!!!!
