The hope of this petition is to stop elegale shark fin fish some cultures are forced to so they can feed there fameliys. The price for shark fins are $300 per pound but the poor central americans are geting paid $1 a pound the leaders of the black market are forceing them to cheach. Them as fast as pasibuly 100 billion sharks are brout in every year .How they do this is they use small fishing ships to cheach the limite and then take it to a mother ship that can hold 1000 sharks at once this is over fishing taken to the exstrem. Plz help are cause thank you.

I live near 2 chinese restaurants which serve shark fin soup and intend to write to their managers asking them to please stop serving this disgusting dish! Failing that, my next step will be the local paper. Ive asked all my family and friends to boycott these restaurants also. Only when enough people demand change, will there likely to be any!! What a great website, thank you for giving people the opportunity to speak out against this very barbaric practice! We all need to think and act with respect to our planet and ALL the creatures inhabiting it.

shark fin fishing is horrible! i understand that some people make a living from it but why do the methods have to be so cruel? sharks are beautiful animals which are greatly feared and misunderstood. we overfish our oceans, we kill our animals on land, we kill our birds, we destoy our ozone. when will we realise that the world won't live forever...and once it is gone we'll have nowhere else to go... this earth was made so we could live together but it seems to me that the balence scale has been tipped...

I have been diving both in the Philippines and Red Sea and seen those lovely sharks alive and swimming close to us and it’s a mystery to me how cruel humans are, just rip and cut their "arms" and “legs" off, just like that and let them die a painful death, drowning, just to have meal of soup.. IF YOU DON’T STOP YOU ARE CONTRIBUTING TO THE DEATH OF OUR WORLD WE LIVE IN, and there’s enough people doing that already don’t you think? Please stop this disgusting action towards our beautiful sharks and other creatures of the deep. Long Lining (Longline) is also disgusting as it kills so many other beautiful creatures that need to be alive and in the Ocean for our world to survive. And we need them all or the air we breath will stop being breathable… You Obviously Are Not Aware Of This.. Asian Countries that encourage the slaughtering of these beautiful Sharks and other creatures from the ocean that get caught in the process, only for Shark Fins; are delusional thinking that anything (food or product) with shark in it will help them. And when the fins are served in a soup there is no taste to it, just the taste of the rest of the soup with spices. We will take action everyday and protest this degusting way of life where ever it is displayed. Please don’t be Barbaric Killers like they are… I beg you to do the right thing already. And if caring for the Animals and Creatures in the Ocean is not your thing, I know you must care about the Children of the next Generation, and if this continues you will simply make them all suffer for your Non-Action to stop this atrocity of irreversible damage to the marine ecosystem that we all depend on. |
