Expressing youself in a non extreme manner

What is 2+2? 4 you say? Well, how would you know that? Your hair is distracting your learning.

I am all for a school uniform especially looking smart. However, I am not one for being told how to or how not to have my hair. Schools all around England and probably other countrys encourage students to express themselves. At Mossley Hollins High School this is forbidden. Everyone is being treated as soldiers. Young adults being trained to be what the school sees as perfect people. We are all being molded to be what THEY want us to be. Research shows that even people in prison can dye their hair.

Inside the school planner you will find a uniform page. (Page 9) This page says "NO EXTREME STYLES OR COLORED HAIR." Oh I apologize! I did not realize that having blonde and brown hair is classed as extreme! Or the darkest shade of plum purple.

I was recently told i would be excluded for having my hair 'dip dyed' even though they are both natural colors. (Whether its dip dyed or your whole hair has been dyed) I am currently in year 11 and have had my hair the exact same way since the end of year 8. Some people have had their hair the color they have since starting school. Nobody has had a problem this big. I do not appreciate the fact that I am being told my hair will distract my learning. There are so many people in university gaining a degree in something such as medicine. Their hair is bright blue. I would understand if someone came into school like that.

As a young lady, after quite some time of deciding what to do i finally had my ears pierced. As you probably know you cant take out your earrings for six weeks. I was placed in isolation for having extremely small studs in my ear. Then I was forced to remove them and have to go through pain everyday after school to put them back in. By this time my ears have already partly healed over and i have to go through the same pain everyday.

The facts are I have not lost any of my intelligence due to having my hair dyed or ears pierced.
