People with mental health issues are being detained in police cells all over the world because there is nowhere for them to go. Hospitals won't take them so the end up in the cells. One case a person with a mental illness was detained not for a criminal act for 36 hours. In a CELL, when they should be in the hospital. Not only that people are being physically assaulted by police officers because they freak out when the cops try and grab them. I personally suffer from a mental illness and I hate being touched and grabbed it freaks me out. We protect the old and the young who are vulnerable so why not people with mental illness? who are also vulnerable Please sign this petition to get every police offcier in the world trained in mental health, so less people are being hurt or locked away.
