Allen Hustin is a purple heart veteran that served three tours in his time in the service as an outcome suffers extreme P.T.S.D as many as our veterans do.Our veteran currently lives on Military base in Fort Brag North Corolina with his three young boys ages 2,6,and 8 along with his two dogs Mario and Luigi whom help with his P.T.S.D our vetrens wife Casey Hustin is currently serving overseas in Korea. Mario and Luigi are brothers were adopted from a animal shelter togeather. Allen hustin was up here in Michigan for summer vacation with his support dogs and kids visiting family on July 8th 2016 the dogs accidently got out of the kennel that was located at our veteran's mother-in-laws home in Ionia mi to where Mario and Luigi are now being accused of killing three goats and a cat all the evidence in this case does not add up one bit!!! The dead goats were already fully bloated with flies everywhere, there was NO BLOOD on either one of the dogs, one of the goats had a little blood by it ,they showed no signs of aggression with animal control or any other stranger, the ionia animal control where the dogs have been since incident occured are against the destroction of these dogs when officer Gleason was on the stand allen hustin our veteran asked her do you believe that they would be a dangerment to any kind of animal or any other animal? Gleason answered they dont appear to be dog agressive towards any other dogs walking by kennels, and dont appear to be aggressive with any humans, and also these dogs are not walked with muzzles even know there being considered dangerous

During a trial on Aug. 18, Ionia County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Adam Dreher argued the dogs were a danger to society, while the pet owners represented themselves and called a witness.

Ionia County Animal Shelter Manager Robin Anderson wrote a letter to the court on Aug. 2 arguing the dogs should not be killed. She said on July 8 Martin told both animal control officers who responded to the incident that he did not wish to press charges, but on July 12 he called up and said he wanted the dogs destroyed and restitution for his goats.“It was never my opinion or the opinion of the animal control officers that these dogs should be destroyed,” Anderson said in the letter. “It's a terrible tragedy what happened to Mr. Martin's family pets, the goats and the cat, however I do not feel it justifies taking the life of another family pet to cover the restitution costs.”Nicholas Grenkengrenke@sentinel-standard.com
