Refugees in Spain Deserve to Be Treated With Humanity

  • by: Fabio G.
  • recipient: Juan Ignacio Zoido, Interior Minister, Spain
According to a recent report by Human Rights Watch, refugees and other migrants arriving in Spain by sea, fleeing war, conflicts and hunger are treated miserably

As they pointed out in this shocking report, immigrants "are held for days in dark, dank cells in police stations and almost certainly will then automatically be placed in longer-term immigration detention facilities pending deportation that may never happen".

The narrow, dark cells of the Spanish police units and Immigrant Detention Centers are not a place to hold asylum seekers and migrants arriving in our country. Sign this petition and help me ask the Ministry of Home Affairs, Juan Ignacio Zoido, to treat migrants and asylum seekers with respect and humanity by providing them with decent housing and facilitating their application for asylum.

Please, treat with respect and humanity migrants and asylum seekers by providing them with decent housing and facilitating their application for asylum.

/ Por favor,  traten con respeto y humanidad a los migrantes y solicitantes de asilo, proporcionándoles un alojamiento digno y facilitando su solicitud de asilo.
