Tell Beer Company- Killing Big Cats is NOT Recreation

  • by: Nyack Clancy
  • recipient: Big Sky Brewing Company, CEO Neal Leathers

On Dec. 15, Missoula-based Big Sky Brewing Co.’s Facebook page posted a photo featuring a female Big Sky employee posing with a large mountain lion she recently killed during hunting season.

The Co-founder, Neal Leathers said he has no intentions of removing the photo and responded by saying, "We’re a company deeply rooted in recreation, and in the state of Montana this includes hunting. The individual pictured is an employee and we salute her efforts, just as we salute yours, no matter what they may be.”

Tell Big Sky Brewing Company to kill for food may be one thing, but to kill for fun shouldn't be considered "recreation", nor paraded on the internet and celebrated. Until Big Sky Co. supports respecting wildlife, tell them you will be boycotting their beer.
