The city of Salina, Kansas has a draconian pit bull ban.(Breed Specific Law or BSL). Please sign my petition to tell the city of Salina, Kansas to repeal its pit bull ban! Help me to save innocent pit bulls that have been ripped from their homes and locked in a kennel cage to face the possibility of euthanization.
We must end stereotyping of certain dog breeds and blame the owners, not the dogs, for any vicious behavior. There is absolutely zero evidence that pit bulls are more dangerous than other dogs, or that any breed of dog is more dangerous than another. Stormy never hurt anyone. Any breed can become dangerous or vicious, loyal or lovable, even protective. The way an animal is raised, treated, and the experiences they go through are what shapes an animal's individual personality and behavior.

Stormy has been officially released back to home with me! THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR AMAZING SUPPORT! THANKS TO YOU SHE IS FREE! AND THAT IS THE BEGINNING OF WHAT MAY BE AN HISTORICAL MOMENT IN THE TOWN OF SALINA KS. ONE STEP CLOSER TO ENDING A BSL BY ALLOWING A PIT BULL TO RETURN TO THE ONLY HOME SHE'S EVER KNOWN! :)

Pretrial on July 31rst I pled guilty to the charge of owning a pit bull in salina ks. I paid the fine under the condition that stormy was to be released to me upon the courts verification of residency. however 48 hours later instead of her being released back to me they also want her registered in El dorado ks first which is not possible unless she's physically present within El dorado. So the next pretrial is set for Aug 5th at 10:30am

just to free up any confusion or misconceptions. I have only been to the first initial court date which was 2 weeks after they seized stormy. The judge went over 3 separate charges I'm facing involving the mafter and told me the fine for the charges was up to $2500 and even one year in jail, then asked me how I would like to proceed. I said I wanted to speak with the city prosecutor, so she rescheduled my court for pretrial which is set for Thursday July 30th.
