Refugee's against subpar living conditions

We came from a war-torn country, and are among the privileged and lucky few who were allowed in Canada. We were told far and wide about Canadian hospitality. Yet we were put in homes in the worst part of our city, under sub par living conditions. We were taken advantage. We were not told our rights from those who were responsible to translate for us. They did not tell us the truth, and took advantage of our ignorance; to put us in sub par living conditions in the worst neighborhoods.

Our children are suffering from Bed Bugs, Cockroaches, Rats, and other pests. We were put next door, to drug addicts and criminals.

Every night we wake up to our children's screams; As they mistake the loud noises coming from outside as bombs and tanks. Our kids bikes were all stolen. This building has no proper security. This building and neighborhood we were pushed to join thinking we had no choice, like they led us to believe; where our complaints are ignored, because they think we do not have the knowledge to protest what they are doing.

Please, for the sake our children and our new well-being. Make them take responsibility for what they are doing.

We can't even move out on our own, because when we apply to live in a different place; we are denied because we lived in the neighborhood they put us in.

How is that fair? Open Door Society has taken advantage of us, and has failed in its duty to inform us our rights, and give us fair warning about what we were getting into.

When we go to complain, we're told that we should grateful for being here, and that we have no right to ask for anything.

How is this fair? Is this the famous Canadian Hospitality and Justice that we believed in? The one that would not leave us struggling, alongside our families and children.
