UConn Students should have say on Mansfield Rental Regulations

On July 25th the Mansfield Town Council will be voting on changes in the language in the rental ordinances. All of the Mansfield rental ordinances are designed to restrict the number of students residing in the neighborhoods.
Students should have the same rights as any other resident so long as they abide by the laws of the town that apply to all residents.
The public hearing for these changes is on July 25th, when students are not here to have a say in laws that affect them.
We are asking the Town Council to postpone the vote and reschedule a public hearing to a date when the students have returned.

This petition is to recognize the fact that the Town of Mansfield intentionally discriminates against students. Those who sign it are for equal rights and housing for all.

Update #27 years ago
