As you all may know, each member of BTS must serve in the military for two years because they are South Korean citizens. I personally believe that they should only serve half of that time, one year. BTS are known as the next generation leaders said by many people such as the large company, TIME. They were one of the most influential people in 2019 along with other people that have also accomplished many things such as the Pope Francis, Jane Goodall, and Michelle Obama. The boys also boost the South Korean economy and popularity. They are the reason why 1 out of 13 tourists visit the country. One of the most important things is that they cover many topics that are very important such as mental health issues which is a big thing particularly this year for teenagers, self love which is also a very big thing that a surprising amount of people have trouble doing, and discrimination and other stereotypes. All of these things are topics that BTS cover just through their music which really makes you think differently. Even the First Lady of South Korea's favorite band is BTS! They are respected very highly by other Korean and even Western artists as well.
So, what do you think? Do they really deserve to be serve full time or would half do it?
