Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, West Virginia and Wyoming are the only states in the U.S. with no statewide laws against indoor smoking. Call on legislators to protect the public health by banning smoking in restaurants, bars, work environments, and public places. Studies show that communities with smoking bans see a decline in adult heart attacks and childhood asthma.

Nearly 1 in 5 deaths each year in the United States is linked to tobacco.
We the undersigned call on you to pass legislation prohibiting indoor smoking in restaurants, bars, work environments, and public places. Smoking is a leading cause of death in the United States. Tobacco has been linked to cancer, heart disease, asthma, and a variety of other health problems. Nearly 1 in 5 deaths each year in the United States are caused by smoking.

According to CDC statistics, 26 states impose comprehensive bans on indoor smoking. Other states have passed different types of anti-smoking laws. Studies show that communities with smoking bans have seen a decline in adult heart attacks and childhood asthma.

Please support public health and clean air. Join these other states in banning indoor smoking.
