Laws for animal welfare are simply not strict enough. Recently, a man from Fort Green, N.Y., Dudley Ramsey, got a 4 month prison sentence for killing his Dachshund puppy and later admitted to killing another dog as well.
When people abuse animals, it never ends there. They go on to abuse other animals and people so the laws need to be much stricter than the ones that are currently in place.
Let's call it "Junior's Law" in honor of the puppy this man killed.
