Save the Polar Bears and their habitat!!

Save the Polar Bears and their habitat!!

Target:
Save the polar bears along with their habitat

What do you think a polar bear's life is like? Fun in the snow? Swimming with the fish? Sliding on ice? Hunting without a care? That's how it used to be. Now a polar bear's average life for today is either being shot, dying of starvation, drowning, or some other fate.

The polar bear's habitat is decreasing because of global warming as you all know. We are the main cause of this happening. We drive cars that let out exhaust into the atmosphere, we build factories that let out even more air pollution, and some communities dont even allow recycling!!

Some people have found some oil up in their habitat, and want to start drilling where polar bears have made their homes. The oil drilling would destroy their land, pollute it with all the oil that was spilt drilling, and cause even more global warming if they build factories! Polar bears are beautiful animals! What if you saw one dying of starvation, coated in oil, and with poachers all around the area? You'd feel sad for the poor creature, and maybe wonder why it's like that. The answer is one word: Us.

Some wealthy experienced hunters are trying to make it legal again to hunt polar bears. They are already endangered, why make them go extinct?? They are going against congress that they want to go to the polar bears' homes, shoot them, and bring their corpses back as trophies. Doen't sound that pleasent, now does it?

Polar bears are wonderful creatures, but they are slowly disppearing along with their habitat. We are the main cause of this happening. All because we want more oil to power our cars, even though we could all just switch to hybrids, we want to start poaching, which will only make things worse, and because we just wont recycle as easy as it is.

We, normal people who care about animals, are trying to save a wonderful animal. The polar bear. This animal is dying out, along with it's habitat. We can do simple things to help prevent this. We could buy and make more hybrid and earth-friendly cars. We could recycle more around the country. We could ban all poaching. We could also bann oil drilling anywhere near polar bears. These simple tasks could be done by congress, or a citizen's simple everyday choices.

Thank you for taking and reading this letter seriously.
