council refuse planning for new 71 bed dementia home

  • by: Paul Brooks
  • recipient: Newark&Sherwood district council

To prove to the council that a new dedicated state of the art 71 Bed dementia home with hospice/end of life wing is needed and essential for the care of dementia sufferers. The planning committee do not accept the need for the home, this when within an 8 mile radius there are only some 35 bed available, most of these in old peoples homes. The design of the building will be a centre of excellence for all sufferers and will be built without the need for government money.
