UTEP Student Government Association for Education Not Deportation

The Education Not Deportation (END) Campaign is a coalition of student groups and community groups actively organizing to resist deportation on campus and the larger borderland region. We oppose the system of deportation, border militarization, and the governmental use of fear as a means of control. We oppose any attempts of deporting community members and we urge the University to support the long standing history of campus inclusivity represented in our diverse community.

We seek to assure that all students receive a campus, classroom, and community experience free of hostilities, aggression, and bullying by promoting campus dialogues and publicly embracing the culture we have as a border town.

These students are apart of the same body you represent. Given the urgency of the situation, we ask that UTEP SGA take steps immediately, this semester and beyond, so that DACA/DREAMer/International Students(from any nation)/etc. students can be assured of support towards continuing and completing their degree programs.

We ask you UTEP SGA, to celebrate and support all students who fall into this category. We ask you to dedicate one day a semester to publicly celebrate and set up connections for these students to; know their rights, connect with support groups set up in the community, and promote dialogue among all students.
