Stop the Zoning change to secondary business. Leave the area residential

This petition is being generated due to a request before the Zoning Board to change the Zoning for the corner lot at Kensington Avenue/Andrews Street and Arch Street up to and including 66 Wallace Street. The current zoning is B1 (Neighborhood Business) and T (Residential 1-2 family residences) and the request is to change it
to B3 (Secondary Business). This change would enable anyone to put a regular business as they are currently trying to put in, a Dollar General Store.

Given the location of this property it would be very dangerous to the pedestrians walking and waiting for buses. It would also make it extremely difficulty for the residents trying to exit Andrews Street on to Kensington Avenue as well as the residents of Wallace Street trying to exit on to Arch Street. Further the intersection of Arch, Kimball Drive, Shuttle Meadow and Kensington Avenue is already a very dangerous intersection, having a major business there will only exacerbate the problem.
