Allow DSLR & Pro lenses into Circuit Of The Americas for the USA GP

When the Formula 1 world heard about the return to the USA, we were all very excited.  Such a huge market and the worlds most technological sport was making a comeback after 5 years away.  After many months of rumours, it's all finally coming to light and fans from all over the world booked tickets to see the great return on a new purpose built circuit in Texas.

Tickets went on sale, the track gets Formula 1 approval and everything is set, but hang on; a prohibited items list.  Most of the time these lists are quite humourous, no weapons, no golf carts etc, but no DSLR's and pro lenses, surely not.

In a sport where the action is over 75 metres away most of the time, with 2 catch fences in the way and where objects are passing you by at 150 mph, surely this is the one place where you need pro kit.

I've come to realise that most of the corporations and individuals in charge of these assets are not implementing in the name of safety, but in the name of commercial rights.  No other race track on the current F1 calendar has such tight restrictions on cameras and lenses and if we had known about this before tickets went on sale I do feel a lot of people would've not booked.

So I leave it to you, the F1 fans of the world, sign this petition, let us enjoy our memories over and over in November and hopefully we can all look back on this and laugh.  We love out beloved sport, but it seems everyday it just gets further and further away from the people who count, the true fans.
